Anaya had croup on a Monday night by Tuesday morning she was in respitory distress. We went to St. Mary's and were there for 24 hours which doesn't seem like a long time but when no one sleeps it seems like forever. Everything turned out okay and a few days later she was almost back to herself. We all ended up with this really bad virus that lasted 3 weeks. I'm just getting over it. It pretty much wiped me out, Renee also had it bad.

This week is crazy for me. Renee has orchestra practice, and
chorus concert tonight. Justin is doing a creative writing course
after school, has detention this week, jazz band practice, and
something else I can't remember. Barbara and Renee have talent show practice on Friday. Anyways, with gas prices the way they are mom's taxi service is going to have to raise the prices.

Renee is such a big help with the baby. Curtis has been working 12-14 hour days the last couple of weeks which is great because we are coming off of a slow winter. Which is great because I think we'll be able to get all the adoption stuff paid for so we can finish the process. We kinda ran out of money for a bit there. But, on the flip side I've been crazy busy with the kids and pretty tired at the end of the day. I'm trying to learn to do some creative time management. The kids have been good at helping out so I can't complain. Last night Justin helped Barbara with her homework!

The Latest in Maine weather

Well, Curtis has been gone for a couple of days and wouldn't you know we had a huge snow and ice storm. We didn't lose our power, but lots of others around here did. My yard is a mess and our storage shed in our yard collapsed. What a mess. Notice the birch tree in the center of the picture actually touching the ground. You could hear tree's snapping all over the place last night. Anaya was cute yesterday. So I guess that made it all okay...

Isn't she soooo cute. Renee was trying to get her to smile while I snapped a dozen pictures. She's wearing an outfit given to her by my aunt. She's a very happy baby.

Well, here we have Anaya and Ian both enjoying a bottle. This was my first attempt at feeding both of them at the same time. I'm holding Ian's bottle and I propped up Anaya's with a blanket. They are pretty cute, today they talked to each other. I wonder if they have any idea as to what they are saying........

Curtis' "new" ministry.....

Curtis has a new hobby. It's much worse than the last hobby. Sorry mom Roundy this tank is right next to the kitchen table. Hopefully it won't spoil dinner the next time you come for a visit. I know how much you loved the other tanks we had. Just kidding =) If you listen closely you can hear Renee practicing her cello. She has a concert on Thursday. Hopefully I'll get something from that to post also.

12 days old.....

Anaya is now 12 days old. My life has been a blur. Mostly because I'm rubbing my eyes due to lack of sleep. But all is well in the Roundy house. Anaya likes to sleep all day and stay up at night. Funny since she was born on Halloween..... She is beautiful and we all love her. The kids are doing well. I caught Justin sitting in the rocker with her a couple days ago.

Today was her first outing. Justin's school band played a song at the Veteran's Day celebration. Anaya wore an outfit Pippy got her. She was adorable and all the ladies had fun watching Curtis take care of her....The blanket was knitted by Britnee Ward. Thanks Britnee!!!
