Donald Trump: musings from a road trip

On my way taking Renee back to college after winter break we had many discussions in the car. One particular comment was this from a young lady currently living with us, "I'm just wondering, has anyone thought about what could happen if Trump gets to be president and does build the wall?"  This poem comes from that conversation.

Trump for President?: musings from a road trip

Mile one hundred and eighty - seven
Lets talk about Trump, his voice does deafen.
He wants to build a big wall
that sounds really good and all.
He wants to keep all the others out
so that we citizens can move freely about.
Lots of people think it makes perfect sense,
it coudl really help our country's defense.
We all know that those "others" are violent,
and as the majority of us sit silent,
the biggest joke of all will be on us if he is elected
for the thing that is most unexpected,
is the man elected to preside over our nation
could quite possibly cause our obliteration,
as he sits on his proverbial throne
and we become the land that he owns.
For we will no longer be allowed to move freely about
because of the wall that was constructed to keep outsiders out.
No one is thinking about what that will do to us on the inside
but I guess once again we will take it in stride.

After all what's in a name?
I do believe that "Trumps" the game.

Lest some of you think  I've gone all democratic
that for sure is not automatic
Until the time of the true Kingdom's theocracy
we are currently stuck with this democracy

(inspiration for this comes from Trisha's comment  "has anyone thought about Trumps long term plan?")
