pictures of our house progress

Well the windows went in this week which made me feel a whole lot better about things. I guess God does want us to live their after all. We'll see about tomorrow. It's funny how are attitudes depend so much upon our life situations. When we have money and things are taken care of we are happy and God loves us. When we are messing up and don't have anything to show for our life-----God still loves us. Hard to live in that truth sometimes. If you open the picture you will be taken to an album of the house as it is today.

The Roundy's

My photo
The Roundy 7
I was raised a preachers kid and got married in 1991. We have 5 kids: 20 yr. old son and 4 younger daughters the youngest being 4 yrs. As a married couple we worked with youth and pastored for 17 years which came to an abrupt end in 2008. Since then we have been trying to find our place. We lost our house due to the bad economy and lack of work as well as paying for an adoption that was started in 2007. We are in the process of fixing up an owner finance house in the poorest area of our city. I am just a Christian woman trying to wade through all of this while raising a family, being a wife and doing the ministry God has for me. Life is Mission. The time is now not later. If we believe in Jesus we need to live this out every day and this should be woven in the very fiber of our everyday life.

Recycling (tending the garden)

Ever thought about how much we throw away. Challenge: See how you can reduce your trash. We have gone from 3-4 trash bags a week to 1 - 1.5 a week. I'd like to get down to one bag every 2 weeks. Things to recycle: -almost all paper -tin cans (remove labels please and recycle label) -#2 plastic (only buy things in #2 plastic and that reduces trash) -glass jars Things to think about: -only buy what you need -reuse containers (my kids like to decorate them) -pay bills online (reduces paper) -repair what can be fixed And the list goes on......
